Mainline Inspections

Mainline Inspection uses a specialized camera that is mounted onto a robotic crawler to capture high-definition video footage of the interior. The CCTV camera travels through the pipeline, providing real-time visual data of its condition, including detecting blockages, cracks, corrosion, root intrusion, or any other damage. The footage is transmitted back to operators on the surface, where it can be analyzed to identify problem areas or to determine the need for repairs or cleaning. This non-invasive technique allows for accurate assessment without the need for excavation, making it a cost-effective and efficient method for monitoring the health of mainline systems such as water, sewer, and stormwater pipelines.

CCTV Inspection

CCTV pipe inspection is a modern technique used to assess the condition of sewer and drainage pipes. By inserting a high-resolution camera into the pipeline, technicians can visually inspect the interior for signs of damage, blockages, corrosion, or root intrusion without the need for extensive digging or disruption. The camera is equipped with lights to provide clear footage, even in dark or confined spaces. This non-invasive method allows for accurate diagnostics and helps identify issues early, enabling timely repairs and minimizing costly disruptions. CCTV pipe inspections are essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of underground piping systems.

Push Camera

Push camera inspection for mainlines is an effective technique for evaluating the condition of larger sewer and drain pipes. Using a flexible, high-resolution camera mounted on a push rod, technicians can maneuver the camera through the mainline to capture real-time footage of the pipe's interior. This allows for the identification of issues such as blockages, cracks, leaks, root intrusion, and corrosion without the need for extensive excavation. While it’s particularly suited for shorter or more accessible mainline sections, push camera inspection provides valuable insights, enabling precise diagnostics and efficient planning for repairs, reducing downtime and minimizing disruption to the system.

Sewer Mapping

You can depend on JJL for digital mapping using the Diamond Maps Program. Diamond Maps is a simple cloud-based GIS/Mapping application designed to help municipalities and rural utilities map their sewer and water infrastructure and track maintenance. We locate and map underground utilities including manholes, catch basins, sewer laterals, agricultural tile lines, and inlets/outlets for businesses and municipalities. All of these points are collected in survey grade which gives our customers the most accurate data and maps.
